All inputs are publicly available: macroeconomic indicators from official statistics published by bodies such as the OECD and national statistical offices, and news sentiment derived from publicly published news articles. We use no private or proprietary data feeds.
The forecasts, nowcasts, sentiment scores and diagnostics are our own computations on top of that public data, produced for research and informational purposes only. Exports and API responses may be used internally by subscribers with attribution (“Source: nowcastingmacro.com”); redistribution or resale of the data requires an Enterprise agreement.
The platform runs on established managed providers:
Forecast computation runs in a controlled offline environment and publishes results to the database; the public API is read-only.
All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Authentication is handled by Supabase; we store the minimum account data (your email address and subscription state). Card details never touch our servers — payment collection and storage are handled entirely by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1).

News sentiment refreshes daily; macro forecasts are re-run as new official quarterly data arrives, and every dashboard shows its data vintage. Updates flow to the live site automatically — there is no manual step between the pipeline and what you see.
Timing is not guaranteed on self-serve plans; Enterprise agreements include support response targets and an uptime SLA.

Nowcasting Macro is an informational and research tool. Nothing on the platform is investment, financial, legal, tax or trading advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any asset. Forecasts are produced by statistical models that can be wrong, sometimes materially — the FAQ carries the full disclaimers, and the Methodology page explains exactly how every number is made.
